Cardboard Corner Cafe opens in Lenexa Public Market

Cardboard Corner Cafe, a concept that combines waffles, sandwiches, shareables, build-your-own-boba drinks, nerdy themed cocktails and more than 250 board games, is making its debut in the Lenexa Public Market.

The business, which Madeline and Chase Davis first opened in 2021 at 9420 Metcalf Ave. in Overland Park, opened a second location Friday inside Lenexa’s 11,000-square-foot food hall at 8750 Penrose Lane.

First announced in mid-December, the stall previously was the home of Red Kitchen KC, which has relocated to 7926 Santa Fe Drive in downtown Overland Park.

Cardboard Corner Cafe’s sister company donated a library of board games to the new location. Although the games are free to play, TableTop Game and Hobby, 9156 Metcalf Ave., also offers them for purchase.
